The California Technology Council is pleased to announce its new initiative on building technologies and issues in technology-oriented real estate. This initiative is called Clean Acres, and will bring together stakeholders from a variety of industries.
Clean Acres will convene events on the topics of technology real estate, building technologies, smart grid, energy efficiency and intersecting innovations. From time to time, the Clean Acres Advisory Board will also identify opportunities to conduct tours of facilities of interest to the community.
This launch represents the formalization of an existing, informal best practice group. That best practice group has been meeting, touring new facilities, studying design and sustainability, and holding annual summits since 1990. The group moves under the umbrella of the California Technology Council to adopt a formal structure, including membership, and gain from the organizational infrastructure and member benefits of CTC.
To advise and steer the CTC in this initiative, a Clean Acres Advisory Board has been formed, including advisors such as:
- David Bendet, Perkins & Will
- Edward DelBeccaro, Transwestern
- Erica Eaton, Johnson Controls
- Kelly Krpata, AutoGrid
- Mary Ann Piette, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab
- Gordon Zagar, Zagar Consulting
- And others.
Clean Acres kicks off with the first event in this series on September 18th, 2014. For more information on this tour of the new Neustar facility at Foundry Square in San Francisco, click here.
