Why do roughly 30 U.S. states have technology development foundations, yet California does not have one? CTC launched a campaign to establish a new foundation, and benchmarked the missions, works, and structures of the sister organizations in many other states.

During October 2016, CTC announced it would establish this foundation to support greater commercialization and broader industrial collaboration with California's world-leading labs and universities.
