Last week, Oakland startup Localwise announced it was moving headquarters to Denver. This follows the news over summer that startup Tari was moving to Nashville.
Startups aren’t alone. Mithril Capital, a venture firm, also announced in September it would be relocating headquarters from San Francisco to Austin, Texas. The Bay Area is losing large companies as well. Core-Mark, a Fortune 500 logistics company, announced in an August earnings call that it would relocate to Dallas, Texas. In June, Bechtel announced it would relocate headquarters to Reston, Virginia.
