The California Technology Council will make a top priority of inclusion for the year 2020. As the CTC board retreats to Palm Desert and meets with a variety of small business support organizations, the organization looks to rural and inland parts of the state to partner for growth.
Tech unemployment is at crisis rates in the capital regions, leading to acute talent shortages on the west side of Los Angeles and the San Francisco peninsula.
“We’re excited to continue to find new partners like Code Stack Academy in San Joaquin County,” said Matt Gardner, chief executive officer of the California Technology Council. “We can continue to expand access and participation for everyone as technology provides opportunity for everyone,” Gardner continued.
The organizational focus serves as a backdrop to CTC as it engages with its board, leaders, and communities throughout the state. During its board retreat January 31st in Palm Desert, CTC will consider more ways to increase this emphasis.
