We’re pleased to present CTC's Artificial Intelligence series, in partnership with Foley and Lardner. The series continues with part two of our discussion with Ken DeJarnette. Ken talks about his experience working with management teams to foster the right environment for decision support, creating frameworks for analysis, and establishing the right business ethics for using these tools.

“It’s important that you treat people fairly. If you’re using algorithms, you need to understand them,” Ken offers. He also suggests considerations for maintaining the human interface with decision systems. A company would not want to invite an AI system to make personnel decisions, for example.

Ken offers an approach for companies to have an ethical framework and teach their teams how to utilize it.
