The California Technology Council is pleased to announce a new podcast series with partner Foley and Lardner. The series dives deep into areas of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Episode one begins with Antoinette Konski, of Foley and Lardner in Silicon Valley, with a look ahead at what this series will explore. Next, we open our conversation with Ken DeJarnette, expert in technology risk recently retired from a career at Deloitte.
Mr. DeJarnette takes us on a journey through improved decisions from mass quantities of data, to discerning more impactful decision-making. Ken highlights the importance of bringing fresh perspectives to every challenge: "Some of the greatest strides we made came to us from the most junior consultant who walked in and looked at something with no bias," DeJarnette suggests.
He explores the roles of industry openness to transformative technologies and corporate culture, especially with regard to experimentation with new tools. Part one concludes with his reflections on the value of bringing inclusive, interdisciplinary perspectives to bear in dynamic organizations.
