SpaceX and NASA have partnered to return US crew to space via a US launch. The launch of Falcon 9 and Crew Dragon is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27th at 1:33pm Pacific, from Kennedy Space Center in Florida (weather permitting).
The launch is a landmark event for a number of reasons. This is the first time a commercial partner has collaborated with NASA to send American astronauts into space, and is the first domestic launch of American astronauts since 2011.
This crew, Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, is bound for the International Space Station.
Provided the weather is clear, the launch can be viewed on the SpaceX Launches page live, with broadcasting scheduled to begin about four hours prior to launch.
