The California Technology Council will establish a new foundation for the advancement of California technologies by fostering collaboration between researchers and industry, to increase commercialization of discoveries, and to drive greater economic growth in the state.

Once established, this foundation will focus on:

Regularly convening California's world-leading institutions to collaborate on commercial opportunities.
Showcasing technologies and discoveries from these institutions.
Identifying opportunities to create more startups, spin-offs, and expanded economic impact resulting from California's institutions.
Developing more custom workforce training partnerships for rapid response to urgent industry needs.
Identifying more opportunities to leverage federal dollars for expanded economic impact in collaboration with California's institutions.
