The State of California called together a number of leaders engaged in cybersecurity and manufacturing on Monday in Sacramento. The primary topics being discussed were the on-going workforce shortage in cybersecurity and the support and dissemination of best practices for small business.
Monday’s meeting was convened by GO-Biz, the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, and included stakeholders from the California State University system, community colleges, technology and manufacturing representatives, and multiple state agencies engaged in cybersecurity. CalCISO attended on behalf of members.
Graduation rates are projected to continue to fall short of industry hiring needs by the tens of thousands of employees in the foreseeable future.
