CTC celebrated the 2016 edition of Data Privacy Day in Los Angeles at a conference hosted by Morrison & Foerster LLP (also known as MoFo). MoFo’s Andy Serwin led several panels on incident response and privacy.
The event featured a lineup of leading industry players from Southern California Edison, Sempra, FireEye, McKesson, Symantec, Cisco, and ESET.
“It was fascinating,” offered Tina Olson, an Ambassador for CTC. “An outstanding group of leaders provided incredible depth and breadth.”
McKesson, Symantec, and Edison representatives discussed a range of updates to the regulatory landspace. An IBM representative also provided a special presentation on Big Data.
Data Privacy Day, organized by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) since 2011, brings together companies, academic institutions, government agencies, and nonprofits to raise awareness and reach new audiences on the importance of data privacy.
According to NCSA, the 2015 edition of Data Privacy Day saw 326 organizations sign up as Champions, marking a 44 percent increase over 2014.
